Goolarri Media assists the development of both Indigenous and nonIndigenous communications in the Kimberley region, supports the enhancement of Indigenous musicians throughout Western Australia, Creates and produces valuable event activities for the total community and delivers nationally accredited training in media and events management. These venues are also utilized by a number of organizations, individuals and companies, not only within the Brooke community, but across Australia and around the world. Goolarri Media assists the development of both Indigenous and nonIndigenous communications in the Kimberley region, supports the enhancement of Indigenous musicians throughout Western Australia, creates and produces precious event activities for the whole community and delivers nationally accredited training in media and events management. Over the former 22 years, GE has transitioned from a conventional media service to a broader training and capacity building organization with a vision to accessible the gap for all Indigenous peoples across the Kimberley region. Specifically GE assists the development of both the Indigenous and nonIndigenous media and communications sector in the Kimberley region, develops and manages events for the local community with a goal of creating stronger social cohesion across the different peoples of the Kimberley and ultimately, invests into Indigenous people through education, training and employment pathways, leveraging its PTO status. Local Indigenous organizations, business and communities throughout the Kullarri region stage events which are opened up to the public to unite in the festivities. Janie, like many, has seen the devastating impacts of alcohol and drugs on culture, family harmony and community safety. This is urgent when people reach from other areas of the Kimberley where they are out of country. This brief walk brings together Indigenous and nonIndigenous people, local schools and Indigenous organizations to reveal their support of reconciliation in new Australia. Printing workshops focusing on five indigenous Communities with stories, suitable artwork and language displays. The workshops will conceal a range of experiences, many of which will focus on the theme of Our Languages Matter and will also be centered around an exciting entire school initiative of naming areas with Yawuru words. St Mary’s College will celebrate NAIDOC week with a week of activities that will encourage Indigenous languages and culture local to the Kullarri region and beyond. This will include a traditional welcome to country by Yawuru, a smoking ceremony, entertainment and the public can also view the Art healing work that is being done at KSGAC. Goolarri is experienced in holding events, meetings and performances and the friendly staff are always willing to share their knowledge. It is a well established venue apropos for concerts, workshops, important meetings, performances, rehearsals and more. This set up is ideal for entertainment or performances. This is ideal for important events that continue to seduce massive audiences. The Board Room can be utilized for both business meetings and little workshops. Local organizations also utilize the space for running small work. Packed show including traditional and contemporary dance and stalls. It is also an area where traditional language, music and culture can be fostered along with the more contemporary forms of artistic expression. It’s a place where Indigenous people can tell their own stories in their own way. Rama is our film production wing of Goolarri Media specializing in short films and documentaries for national broadcast and international festivals. In addition, Goolarri’s events venues and event project management capabilities donate Indigenous musicians an opportunity to perform on a professional stage whilst gaining cherished exposure to an audience of community members, visitors and tourists.
